Artist Statement

A mere touch is one of the most meaningful ways of showing affection for another person. In my paintings I try to portray this connection in a way that demonstrates the feelings of the characters towards each other. Getting married, having children, growing old, whether you’ve actually lived it or are dreaming of it, they are milestones in nearly all people’s lives.  Throughout the good and the bad, they are happy moments that should be cherished forever. Through layers of color, my art evokes a feeling of life, intimacy, and tenderness that can not be depicted with a photograph.  My paintings remind people of loved ones of the past and inspire others of dreams of the future.
